New from NC

Hello from NC, USA! I am in the process of installing a used Voyager kit on my 2004 FLHTC. The kit came off of a 2003 FLHTC, so should fit just fine. At this time, I am having a b*tch of a time removing the two big bolts that attach the trike frame to the belly plate. The kit was removed from the old bike by just removing the belly plate and it seems like the mounting bolts were maybe lock-tighted on! I got one off using my air impact, but the other is being a pain. Soaking it in Liquid Wrench right now, so wish me luck.

I didn't get any paperwork with the kit, so if anyone knows where I might be able to download a pdf of the install manual or get a hard copy, I would appreciate it. I have watched the YouTube videos.

First trike experience, so look forward to learning a lot.

UPDATE!

Went out to the shop this morning after letting the bolt soak overnight in Liquid Wrench. Put the impact on it and ZIP off she came! Woo hoo!

Thanks to everyone for the welcome and now on to the assembly!

Re-introduction

Hey there! So I first joined in 2021 when I picked up a used Voyager kit for my 2004 FLHTC. I got the kit installed and rode it for about a year, but really was not so pleased with how it handled. Ended up selling the bike and the kit and got a 2017 HD Tri Glide, which I think rides and handles much better. I'm heading off to the Tri Glide Forum now to see what's up with my non-operational reverse. :p
