Rear Suspension Goldwing Champion
Howdy,
I have a 2006 Goldwing Trike w/champion kit. I have had it for 10 years and suddenly I have lost all suspension on the rear. I have absolutely no rear suspension, any little dip or bump in the road and I am scraping the exhaust pipes, I can't go over any speed bumps without nearly high centering the trike.
Is it possible I have a broken torsion bar?

It sounds like a good inspection is needed. If it is a straight axle model, it should be easily spotted.
If it does have IRS, a sway-bar could seize up and stop moving and allowing the suspension to be active.
The sway bar can be diagnosed by disconnecting each end at the lower a-frames.

I dont believe champion uses torsion bar springs . they use 2 coil over shocks and one central shock, where the original GL shock went.. Take a look under there, to see whats going on.
Im sure more knowledgeable folks will come along with other suggestions.

Glad you finally chimed in too.
You describe the Champion straight axle for the GL1500 and the GL1800.
Champion uses coil-overs for their suspensions, 3 on the GL1500 and 2 (axle mounted) on the GL1800 with a straight axle along with the OEM mounted coil-over..
The IRS suspension also uses 2 coil-overs and a sway-bar and eliminates the OEM coil-over.
