I had the first of 2 cataract surgery's done yesterday afternoon. I was a little nervous because they started doing a new procedure named DEXYCU. That involves an injection into the eye with a long lasting medication that eliminates the need for eye drops. The procedure was quick and painless. This morning the doctor took my eye patch off. What a difference! Everything is SO bright. Before surgery I had trouble reading the largest letters and after I can read the smallest on the eye chart. I have been using cheater reading glasses for 15 or more years. I sat down at the computer and automatically put them on. The screen was a little blurry. I was disappointed. Until I took them OFF! Everything is crystal clear with no cheaters. There are 4 or 5 different lens choices most of which cost $$$$$. I just went for the basic lens and I'm overwhelmed with the results. I asked the doctor about riding the trike. I told him that I have a windshield, full face shield and sunglasses. I was ecstatic. He gave me the go ahead right away. Surgery yesterday and I could be riding again today! (Taking the day off anyway) Next up, getting the right eye done the 8th of next month...... Jim
