Part #’s for Khrome Werks muffler with the crossover cap, 202560, and in drag 1801-1152 if this helps anybody.

Had some thoughts overnight. I like the idea of lengthening the intermediate to make the bends less severe. Although, I don’t know about going to much bigger on the pipe. I figure you can cut the pipe off the intermediate, weld on a slightly larger pre bent pipe. Trick is to mate the new pipe to the muffle for a good seal. Reducing the size of the new pipe, or maybe stretching the muffler inlet a bit, tough on the chrome though, lol. I am going to start look for a spare intermediate pipe, already have a decatted pipe waiting.

By increasing the exhaust diameter to 2.5" will you need to add torque cones to compensate for the loss of back presser.

Be aware states that have inspection rules may not allow that flex pipe.

In my state NH flex pipes are not allowed as over time they will leak.

We have inspection in mass I have never had any of my bikes inspected in 48 years . Why do you think a leaky flex pipe would fail your bike ? Oh exhaust fumes in your Helmet cause brain damage ? I will check for leaks dont need any more brain damage

Part #65600179 headpipe extension, cheapest price I found $153.50. Sure are proud, some dealers want $191.

It looks like D&D may make a 2 1/2 inch head pipe extention I'm going to call them monday $195.00

Interesting, I would think that you would have to buy their muffler for the 2:1 system as well, and then block off the crossover pipe. I’ve looked at the aftermarket trike conversion pipes, none fit a stock headpipe. S&S makes a set for their headpipe, looks to have less severe bends which I think is the key. No matter how big the extension is the key is the baffle in the mufflers. Maybe cutting the pipe back further and running a reducer to get down to the S&S pipe size. Summit Racing has a bunch of them.

As a side note, Sheffer Performance just tuned a m8, 124” some head work etc with a stock decatted headpipe, 148 hp, 140 torque, posted on fb. I’m sure there was some left on the table, but that is pretty impressive for a stock headpipe design.

I think the stock head pipe decated is as good as many aftermarket maybe a couple horse power hear or there , the problem is the connector pipe goes from 2 1/2 to 1 5/8 I D , if buy aftermarket headpipe on a trike you still have to use your stock connector pipe. Im not interested in blocking of crossover pipe . Im going to order a D&D connector pipe , I will post a picture of it when I get one ?
