No Warranty does suck in these instances BUT you tossed the warranty out the window when you went with the Hayden.
Hearing more and more stories of good companies and products going south. Personal experience.
Had a certified HD mechanic install a Baker 6speed w/reverser setup in a '10 Ultra. Worked great for 6 months then kaboom, left the drive belt on the asphalt. Threw the bike on a trailer and raced to Horney Toad HD in Temple where they jumped right on it. 1 1/2hr later service managed waved for me to come back. The whole set of Baker gears had exploded in the case.
As with Hayden, Baker wouldn't return phone calls, emails, etc. Went to visit with them at Sturgis. Didn't even want to talk about it. The person I needed to talk to wasn't there. Sucks to be a customer with an issue. AND I had a warranty on their gears.

It's been over 10 years since I've run a Hayden. Had no idea they had gone downhill quality wise and Customer Service Wise.

The new short block came in , that was quick , it came with a primary gasket kit, top end gasket kit, cam plate & bolts, timing chain, cam gears , crank position sensor , now all I need is some time to put together ? I bought the short block from Ronnies H D in Pittsfield MA They do on line ordering & give a pretty good discount , if you need anything look them up on line . I bought the bike at Sheldons H D, the last time I went there they charged me $ 16.95 for a black oil filter that list for $ 12.95 I asked parts boy what the f--- he says we have to mark up the parts to make money , I say HA HA you get no more of mine !
What about the baker products? They seems well built and back there products.
Got the motor in and running late last night, Rode it today I had a 117 tune from Dyno jet Did a few Auto Tune's, I like the 117 better than the 128 . It runns really good, spark plugs look good, good M P G , motor really quiet , didn't beat it yet, had to pass a car 55 - 80 real quick. ended up with a new short block, new screamin eagle cylinders and pistons, new screamin eagle cnc ported heads, used my S&S oil pump and cam plate redshift 472 cam , woods lifters, screamin eagle 64 mm throttle body 5.5 injector's, zippers one piece push rods, used a baker compensator, harley primary chain adjuster, I put a 2016 clutch basket and clutch hub bearing, nobody has the 2020 clutch hub bearing, the 2020 bearing is 62 mm the 2016 is 72mm the 2016 clutch basket looks a lot stronger than the 2020, It say's that it will not fit 2020 we measured it and it does . Right now no primary noise. Pray to God this one last ! HA HA

Did not like the Baker Comp. Had one and it galled.
Went with the new Dark horse unit last year.
We will see how it holds up this year.
I sent mine out to Short Block Charlie's had it Isotropic super finish done, did the compensator , cam & gears ,timing chain, when done they look like chrome they so smooth. nascar doe's allmost all engine parts transmission and rear end parts with that . check it it out I don't understand how its done. It was cheap money .

Did you ever get it dump tuned?
Kind of interested as I run a 117 in my 14.
It 's running good I had a tune from when it was a 117 before , I used that and did at least 10 auto tune's , it run's really good and pretty good mps . Laconia next week I will have it Dynoed just to see were the fuel ratio and see what the torque is . got about 1500 miles on it just to busy at work to ride .
Who will be there that has a trike dyno...that you trust?

DR Dyno is not going to much money for a spot , and I did not see Rob's Dyno any were , At the harley Demo ride's they have a 21 tri cvo you can take out for a ride . I was the last one there at 4:30 to ride it , And some big cry baby bad ass biker and his wife were going to ride it after me , the guy running the trike rides told him I was the last ride of the day , The bad ass biker starts yelling and crying that he waited over a hour to ride it started shit with the guy , I told the man running the test ride's let cry baby have my spot I will come back another day. the Harley people could not thank me enough . Its one of the dark color ones It looked Black in the sun really nice paint . Lot's people today most of the time the first saturday is slow , to much traffic, my trike stayed at 245 degrees in stopped traffic . maybe go back sunday
Me and two friends went back to Laconia today and rode the demo bike's for four hours, the Indians are a lot better than the Harley's , so much more power , really good radio's well balanced , rode a BMW dont no what model it was , that was a piece of crap vibrate no power. Road a bunch of Harley's the best Harley I rode was 2021 Road Glide CVO. The three of us Road that CVO trike none of us were Impressed . The demo bike's are as much fun as any motorcycle rider could have ! We met up with Brian that own's Sheldon's HD and Old School HD that is about 20 mile's from me say's he has a trike dyno there and a great tuner guy , He was riding a 2021 ultra limited That he claim's has a 131 kit in it and claim's they tuned it some how ? Complete custom paint, exhaust , suspension, it had screamin eagle head's a H P throttle body , What else I don't no ? I never met him before.

Now that you have done auto tuning, do you find you can "hop" the front wheel in the first three gears if you hit your shifts right?
Yes it will hop the front wheel in 4 gears , right now it's the best it's ever run , I changed the head pipe again , I had a Vance & Hince's Xpipe and a set of Bassani muffler's with the step baffle's ' put it on went for a ride it was dead no low end torque , I had a set of D K torque baffle's what ever they call them , reamed out the lower baffle bolt put them in , did 4 more auto tune's what a difference that made , lot's of torque really great sound . Got about 2500 miles on the motor , pulled the oil filter again cut it open nice & clean . It has as much if not more Ball's as the 128 did. We went wensday to laconia had beat the crap out of it all day long, get home open the garage door start it up maken a really bad noise, it was down by the cam cover, it was a loose heat shield .
