Digital Time Display Issue

The clock on my 2019 TriGlide has begun to display incorrect hours. The minutes are always accurate. I installed the Dakota Digital instruments last summer and the time displayed on both were alway in sync and correct until recently. I don't know which part to suspect where the problem is coming from. The Dakota Digital instruments or the Harley Infotainment radio. I can set the clock successfully from either one and it remains accurate while I am riding, but parked for several hours or overnight the hours will be way off. My first thought was that I have a battery going bad, but battery voltage is where it should be, above 12V when off and 14.3 when running so I don't suspect a voltage issue at this point. This is my second TriGlide with the Dakota Digital instruments with no previous problems till now.

Has anyone else had a similar issue, or have a fix?

Just a long shot here......Could it have anything to do with Daylight Saving changeover?

I wish it was that simple. No, the hours could be off as much as 11 or 12 hours (PM to AM even). I have also tried changing between GPS and manual modes with no luck.

Load test your battery to be sure it is OK, above 12 volts means nothing @ this point

You can do a simple load test in your garage. Hook up a voltmeter @ the battery, read static volts, next turn ignition on for ten seconds and watch the voltage reading.

If the volts drop below 10 and continue to drop you have a weak going to fail soon battery

I isolated the battery and connected the load tester. Static voltage nearly 13 volts. Applying a load took it down only to just slightly less than 12 volts so it doesn't look like the battery is the culprit.

I also checked the voltage with a multimeter at the battery tender lead with the ignition on, and it never dropped below 12.5 volts.

By any chance, is there a watch-style back-up battery somewhere in the fairing designed to maintain voltage to the clock while the ignition is off? I'm pretty sure that the security siren has its own back-up battery. Maybe the clock does too.

I am not aware of any back up battery for the clock, every time the battery is disconnected the clock on my 17 FLRT needs to be reset. The ECM holds the memory for the speedo/ odometer, too bad it does not hold the clock memory
