Boom Audio GPS tracking

2018 TriGlide Ultra with a 6.5GT audio system.

I am trying to determine how often the GPS "Trails" feature logs a GPS point. The manual does not indicate and a web search was no help.

Short of any hard data I will go for a ride and log a "trail" My plan is to log 3 ten mile trails at different speeds, then let the bike sit stationary for 2 minutes and log that as a 4th "trail" Then I'll download the GPX files and open them in a text editor and simply count the number of times it logged a point.

If anyone has a better Idea, I will be delighted to hear it.

Don't Bother... it's a bust

Today I rode three ten mile segments at different speeds. Came home and exported the GPS trails and opened them with a text editor. The GPS tracks a point every ONE second. A ten mile ride had over 500 recorded GPS points. It records Lat/Long and the time.

Bad news is that the HD ride planner WILL NOT import the .gpx file. I was able to import the file into Google Maps and another trip planning program, but Harley's own program cannot read a file created on it's own nav system. WTF was I thinking anyway? I just wanted to use the system as designed...

I guess it's a thing that came with the software that HD purchased and they never thought anyone would use it anyway. :Crap:
