You pretty much only have two basic types of conversion kits. One is a solid axle type of kit which is the style that Harley uses. To me the solid axle style of kit is rough riding. You can change the shocks or go with an air ride system but that's just adding more cost to the kit. The other style is an Independent Rear Suspension which allows each wheel to operate independently on rough roads. Take a look at a company called IMC at imc.com.

I have a 1999 Harley FLHTCU-I with a Hannigan kit. It is Independent Rear Suspension. It handles really well. I would stay with an IRS.
