    Default Clutch Lever pull

I’ve recently developed carpel tunnel in my left hand from handling one two many concrete blocks, and cannot seem to ride more than 50 miles without the nerves in my hand going crazy. Does anyone have any opinions on the easy clutch lever or a similar product that might help with my problem? Really don’t want to sit out the spring without riding.

I have a 2019 Tri-Glide...And the clutch is a heavy pull....I let my Daughter-in-law who has two wheelers and rides take it out for a weekend.....And her comment was that she won't ride it again because the clutch is way too heavy to pull in and hold at lights and in stop and go traffic.., ... I Got into a habit of popping into neutral at long traffic lights..

There is a company that makes a new slave cyl for the trike that reduces clutch pull but the name escapes me.

I see the Oberon adjustable clutch lever but wonder if it really lessens the pull, or just puts it closer to the grip? Maybe changing the handlebar angle and sweep will ease the wrist and fingers. I think I will need to throw more money at the Harley in the near future.

I had that [Oberon] on my 2017 Tri-Glide......It just puts the lever closer to the grip, And makes for a smoother engagement [Less abrupt] into first gear from a stand still...

I have had carpal tunnel for as long as I can remember, I know there is a surgery you can do to help and with some people it has helped and some not and even made it worse, so surgery is out for me, I just learn to deal with it. Basically riding the highway I drive with one hand and I switch off from left to right to help out, granted I'm not shifting on the highway but it still bothers me to have both hand on grips for any length of time, I try not to do much driving in town because of all the up and down shifting, so I take quick root to highway and go from there. Holding on to a wash wand in car wash is really bad, so now I just go thru a drive thru.

There is a slave cylinder if that is what it is called to help on shifting that takes a lot of pressure off your hand, have heard it is worth it, I thought about when I had to take my 2018 in for the clutch recall, thought I would try that first, should have ordered the part since they was in there anyway and had them install it.

There several companies making this part to help ease the clutch pull, just can't thing of it right now.

    All for now Trampas

I put a Rekulse clutch in mine and love it. You only need to use the lever to shift gears.

AFTER the guy coming up behind me safely stops, then I put it in neutral.

My days of holding the clutch in for long periods of time have been over for at least 2 years. I hate not having it in gear at stoplights but there is no way. I added the programmable brake light as an added safety feature, it make me feel a little better.

Someone said the 2021 trikes clutches almost take two hands to shift?

Just the other day i was stopped at a red light in the right lane...And when the green left turn arrow turns on the guy behind me reacts and starts to go thinking the whole light went green....He stoped about two inches behind me when he finally woke up...

I also installed a Rekluse slave in my TrGlide. Happy with the pull and the improved friction zone feel.

Just the other day I was in the left turn lane stopped at a red light. Left turn green arrow comes on. All the other lights were red. Started to make my turn and a guy coming from the opposite direction coming straight just came on through what should have been and I guess was a red light on his side. Luckily I had just started the turn and was able to brake and no problem. But a couple seconds more and I would have been in the middle of my turn. Perhaps he would have seen me. Perhaps not. As you said, wake up folks!

Anyway back to our regularly scheduled topic of clutch pull. I too oftentimes put it in neutral at red lights. I can hold the clutch with no problem but it does get tiresome. Like the concept of the Rekluse clutch but hate the idea of it not being in gear when shut down. I faithfully apply the parking brake when I shut down but could always be distracted and forget and oops!

I have the Aim slave cylinder on mine and I can hold the clutch in all day. The install was not that bad and I think it works great.

Thanks guys for all your responses, I will try the neutral thing as often as possible and hope it goes away in a couple of months. Meanwhile I will look into the slave cylinder solution.

I'm 77 and slightly built and one finger on my right hand that doesn't work (cut it down the middle with a table saw). I have no problem with the Harley clutch - or - brake lever.

Look into the EZ Pull Clutch. From everything I read, it's the greatest thing since tubeless tires.

Hi- Was there supposed to be a link with your post? Could not find "easylever", could you add more details? Thanks.
