    The only one i ever use is the tap on the Helmet, And almost every time i get a puzzled look from the oncoming biker....-...

    I agree. I have used this with questionable understanding. But there have been a few times (very few) when I have see an approaching biker alert me. The other hand signals seem to be obvious to me..... Jim
