If you have the time and patience you can do the rebuild yourself. Parts are available
Honing is not needed , only if you have a lot of scoring. The aluminum bore is not as forgiving as other metals so if you do have to clean up the bore go slow and easy.
If you do not have bad scoring, clean the bore several times with a good brake cleaner.
Upon getting ready to reassemble, use clean fresh brake fluid on all internal parts.
Before reassembly check the fit of the piston in the bore, you should not have much slop when you check the fit.
