Lots of people complain that the brake pedal is already too high resulting in one having to really lift the foot UP to get to it....not just a simple lateral move over to depress the brake. I can’t imagine one wanting it to be higher. I was actually looking for a means to LOWER the brake pedal on the 2021 RTL but came up with naught. It is what it is and I have adjusted.

Mine was not high enough. I damn near had to stand on the pedal to stop the bike. Guess I should have asked the dealer to adjust the factory pedal upward before buying the pedal kit. Slowly becoming disenchanted with the Can Am. It is becoming a money pit I was not expecting it to be.

With this most likely being my last m c, I was really hoping for a positive buying experience. Sadly, that has not happened. The Can Am itself, is an excellent piece of machinery. It is their dealer network that is lacking. One can add to that some of the online vendors.

Every bike/trike i buy is my last one.....Then i wind up buying a new one and then the last one becomes the last one before the new one.......

I kept saying that with my Corvettes. All 15 of them. It finally did happen though. The new C8 has not for some reason placed itself on my want list. Maybe when the Z06 is released I will take a second look.

Just like a trike, one thing that is very evident on the Spyders is the installer.

You get a good installer you get a happier experience with the vehicle. I was made totally aware of this before I bought mine... after reading Spyderlovers since 2018 and talking to owners wherever I ran into them I knew to be careful.

Local owners said to go to Rocky at Coyote.

Coyote Powersports in Boerne has an installer whose reputation is none other than fantastic. On the day I went over to buy mine a gentleman was there to have Rocky fix all the screw-ups the installer in Corpus did to it. He bought the vehicle in Corpus as they would give him a better trade-in deal although he was from San Antonio. Told us all the problems he was having and had talked with people who highly recommended Rocky at Coyote. I had actually bugged Rocky myself since 2019 when I moved to Kerrville.

Coyote had a dark version coming in but no chrome versions. Austin had a chrome on the floor they had already assembled. Told Coyote I wanted that chrome in Austin. They were on the phone making it happen when I interrupted the call and stopped the Austin deal cold...told them forget it..don’t want it.

After they hung up with Austin I told them to write up the dark version they had coming as I wanted to make sure it would be assembled properly and I trusted Rocky to do that.

The day I picked it up there was a lady there having Rocky do something with her Spyder...she was from San Marcos...said she and her riding group come only to Rocky for various tasks or problems with their Spyders

Absolutely a good decision. I have had no complaints about the fit and finish done by Rocky. The ride is superb...floats over bumps.

Big expenses I have done to the Spyder are Heli-bars ... LOVE them... and the Utopia driver backrest. BOTH excellent add-ons. Except for changing the tires when the OEMs age-out I don’t see me throwing any more money into it for add-ons.

The windshield height automatically adjusts and I like it all the way up as I like to look under the top, not over the top. As I said earlier I have adjusted to the brake pedal and that rascal will stop on a dime.

Sorry you are becoming disenchanted with yours. I really, really like mine.

Thank you Carla. This is the first I've heard about being able to adjust the brake pedal height. I bought mine from Cleburne Powersports. I would not recommend them to anyone. They did not set up the bike correctly as is obvious nor, did they give me any kind of in depth orientation on how to operate it. Simply said, I've had to acclimate myself. I am also not enamored of one vender on the other board. It turns out that they need to have parts one orders drop shipped from Lamonster. That being the case, one might just as well order directly from Lamonster. Also, after having spoken with Jon at Freedom shields, it turns out that only Lamonster can sell the recurve windshield. All the other vendors have to go thru him.

You cannot adjust the brake pedal height on the 2021 RTL that I am aware of except maybe up.

I wanted it down so I don’t have to lift my foot high enough to get to the brake pedal.

I was saying that I personally, mentally, have adjusted my thought pattern to the stock height of the pedal....but still have to lift the foot up from the floorboard to step on the brake pedal.
