Full face or half helmet depending on the ride. Back and forth to work on the interstate, Full face. Back and forth to work on the back roads, Half helmet. My wife wears either a full face or 3/4 helmet depending on what I wear.

Actually some times I will just hook the chin strap around the passenger hand rail if I can't put it in the tour pac.
BTW: What do you keep in the tour pac and trunk that you don't have room for a couple helmets??? All I keep in my trunk is a rain suit and sweatshirt....unless I'm on a long vacation trip.

I had one stolen when I was about 14 years old down by the local swimming hole, and I've always wondered what I would do if mine were stolen and the area I was in required one.
I have to admit some stuff we could leave out of the trike but I have a few tools which have come in handy for other bikes and rain suits for two, I bet if I take out half of the wife's stuff she wouldn't even miss it or maybe just rearrange some stuff.

I’ve been told my head is really hard! The state of LA requires a DOT helmet but a lot of people wear the “novelty” helmets. For me I’ve got 2 3/4 helmets and three or four 1/2 helmets. 99.9% of the time I put on something. My normal choice is the 1/2 helmet . In 37 years of being first responder and seeing a couple dozen MC wrecks , I take my chances with the helmet . It’s what’s in the helmet that’s going to keep me from using / needing the helmet!!
3/4 helmet for me..................Massachusetts does require us to wear one (it's the law) BUT I'm glad it is,

Here in AZ where it's a balmy 115 in the summer, I still wear a modular helmet. I guess I just got used to it when I did a lot of motocross and flat track racing. I was in an accident where I was sitting still with my feet on the ground and some ass hat rear ended me and the cops estimated his speed at 50MPH. Messed me up pretty good but my head was OK, although some people might question that. I wear a Simpson Mod Bandit, I like the built in sun shield and I can put the helmet on without taking off my glasses.

Might be close.......I Haven't gotten a haircut in at least a year....And my helmet is getting tight.....I suspect your helmet hair is not terrible compared to mine.

If you wear a 1/2 helmet check the point on the right side where the straps join and make a “Y”. I had a Harley 1/2 helmet that had a metal ring embedded in the strap there. The wind pulling on the helmet was hard enough to cause that ring to crush my right carotid artery. The next day I had a stroke.
Harley’s lawyers made sure the hemet design was changed, but never admitted fault. It makes you wonder about crashes that occur without an obvious cause.

Being that somebody brought up the subject Helmet hair I’ll tell you something interesting that happened one day when I decided to clean my Tri-Glide.. and I noticed the underside of my front fender was full of tar and Roadway crud.. so I unbolted it thoroughly cleaned and when I put it back on I put it on backwards. I just left it like that and when I stopped at a local watering hole (Hooters)) two young ladies came out to admire the new look on my Tri-Glides front fender.. and as I took my helmet off they looked up and said “Wow””your hair looks perfect no helmet hair you look just like you came from a hairstylist..And they couldn’t resist running their fingers through my hair… any chance it might because of the backwards fender improving the aerodynamics of the airflow over the helmet…🤔?..
