Does it have a rake kit? Trikes handle better with one
Check torque of the steering head.
Lower tp to 36psi. 40 means a hard ride! Rear tp 22 to 24psi
Make sure front tire is not cupped

welcome paul. First thing to look at is the is the triple tree bearing tight to about 40 lbs of torque. Then rear wheels tire pressure. and I'm sure others will have suggestions.

Hi Paul, to Trike Talk
Check the easy stuff first. Too high and too low reat tire pressure is the easiest way to change how your trike rides and steers

Yep, I just dropped the rear tire pressure down too 22*lbs yesterday........... rained all day and, today, (7/3/21) so no chance to tell the difference... yet
Going on a 150mile(ish) ride tomorrow, hopefully a "big" [for the better) difference will be noticed.....in my ride
