Looking for the best conversion

Hello,

I have a 2004 FLHRS. Original owner. Getting to that point in my life where three wheels would be welcomed. Arthritis and bad knees. I almost dropped it the other day. A four way stop with an incline. I guess I didn’t get my feet on the ground quick enough after steering to the right. Pulled some serious muscle getting the bike upright. Still sore.

I’m currently looking at Motor Trike and Frankenstein. Got a business just down the road that installs both brands. Just looking for the right choice as it’s not a cheap investment. I joined this forum to get a “feel” about going the trike route. Also wanted to read about others experiences.

I would recommend the Independent Rear Suspension conversion from IMC. They also have a trike body that looks just like the Freewheeler body. I've got over 3K miles on mine and love the smooth ride over the solid axle conversions out there.

Check out F B I Fat Baggers Incorporated I did one on a 03 ultra, straight axle , its rides better than my 2020 Tri Glide , Looks really sharp . CSC Is a great kit to .

There are many different trike kits..some a lot nicer than others.

If one is not mechanically able to work on your own trike one thing I found important was to be in reasonable distance of a builder who can work on it for you…unless you can and are willing to have to possibly trailer it a good distance to someone who is certified to work on your kit.

I went Roadsmith, cause you had one, and I always enjoyed your posts.... So far I very happy with it.... No problems so far (second season riding it) BUT my installer, well that's another story, he'll rip you off in a heart beat.............Cause he know's he can, I believe......
