Roadsmith Drive Shaft

How does one go about greasing the rear u-joint on a 2003 Goldwing/Roadsmith trike. It appears unreachable to me. I can see it but not access it.

I have two grease zirks on my D/Shaft, that I shoot a couple of shots of grease, twice a season.

I use a jack and just raise up the back of my trike and crawl under.....

On all applications I’ve seen you’ll need to rotate the drive shaft to “open” the angle of the u-joint to get to the grease fitting. Prevents drive shaft removal.

Jack I never have gotten one of those to work for me. Grease everywhere but where it needs to go. Bad technique on my part.

Professional Roadsmith Trike Builders had to remove the drive shaft. That's all the dumb Master Electrician knows.

You should see two grease jirks on your shaft (I have them on my Roadsmith)

Jack up the rear of your trike, and rotate rear tires (slowly) you should see them, and give them a shot of grease (I do it twice a season)
