Not just them. I cannot get the 44 Ford Explorer Police cars that we ordered. We been advised that the production line was shut down again, now for the whole month of July due to the lack of parts especially computer chips.

My neighbors 2016 F150 has been @ the dealer here in Jax for 1 month waiting for a part for his truck. Ford has no idea when said part will be in as it is on national back order.

The businesses are wearing out the COVID excuse....while it may have started with COVID, is is now the supply chain that has serious problems. When I watched this video, I found it fascinating how everything is intertwined with everything else.......If you have the time, give it a look....

Been waiting on a 2020 Trike manual for 35 days from Surdyke, found a slightly used one and bought it.

I am going to let the new one come in and offer it up for cost when it comes in. Maybe someone will not have to wait.

I waited for a month for rear brake pads for my 17 trike, then 3 weeks for a 6 over clutch cable for my buddies 11 trike for a bar change.

Thanks for posting that. Very polished letter that takes some of the rough edges off how insanely bad (and it's getting worse, not better) the supply chain issues are.

BUT, BUT, Harley is not being completely honest. Some of their parts shortages (and bike shortages) are part of their new marketing strategy. Check out this video-

Your not gonna change the American peoples love of buying cheap but then also wanting to have a higher pay scale then the Chinese worker.......Tariffs are the only way to change things..

Did we not have the same feelings and issues when everything came from Japan? Good or Bad I think we will get thru it. China's a lot bigger so it may take longer.

You beat me to that.......Quality......With all my tools for work i would only buy West German or Swiss tools, The only Made in the USA Tools that i would buy were US Standard jobbers drills.....And Muller gravers made in the bowery [Manhattan]...

Your not going back far enough. Back in the 50's thru early 70's many items from Japan were cheap knockoffs. The early Datsun's were rust buckets. After their economy built up from the war their products got better. From the mid to late 70's on word the quality got better to the point their cars forced our auto industry to re-group.

I bet China goods will do the same.

Japanese stuff improved because they wanted to sell a better product. They knew better quality would sell itself. China is capable of building products that are on or above the level of everyone else. But Chinese products are crippled by greed and graft.

The global market pretty much demanded the competition step up with better products

The Chinese got way better stealing proprietary property and selling it cheaper

Absolutely. I wasn't implying it was china. It's more the people from here that are importing junk.
