    Default 2013 Triglide Reverse motor

    Hey guys, my 2013 Triglide reverse stopped working. I bench tested the reverse motor and its associated solenoid and they are BOTH GOOD,the bendix spins and throws out as it should and also tested the 150 amp circuit breaker. Both test good. I suspect that the "reverse control module starter solenoid", PN71474-07, that is located close to the circuit breaker might be bad, I can feel and hear it clicking as I hit the reverse button. That is NOT the same solenoid that is attached to the reverse motor itself. Does anyone out there have a wiring diagram of the reverse motor and it's associated parts. I want to test the reverse control module starter solenoid by jumping the two terminals with a screw driver the same as testing any other solenoid. Has anyone out there had this problem and what was the fix? Thanks

    Mike…Open the motor up slide the Brushes out I suspect you’ll find them corroded every time ….I had mine out 3 (2011 Tri Glide) times and the brushes were corroded…..

    You said you bench tested the motor, I suspect taking it out and bumping it around freed up the brushes. Are you getting 12 volts at the wire going to the motor?

    Thanks for the help, guys. I took the motor back out and dissasembled it and found that two of the brushes were stuck. Cleaned the entire unit, armature and all and had to file a bit off the sides of the two stuck brushes that were sticking to free them up. Put it all back together and it's now working fine.     My 2016 reverse motor just stop. Called Inland Valley Customs and got a rebuilt reverse motor for $550.00. Now just waiting for it to be shipped.

    I have the reverse motor installed and it works good, (so far). It's not too hard to install and it didn't take long. Sorry I said that I paid $550 for the rebuilt motor, I dropped the old one off at the Post Office, at no charge to me and will be getting $150 refund. That means I only paid $400 for the rebuilt reverse motor. Good deal I guess!
