2021 Freewheeler running light wiring

Does anyone know what the wire with a square receptacle on a 2021 Freewheeler located in front on the left side and tucked back behind the headlight cowling near the frame is for? It is a white wire. I wanted to find out if it is for heated handgrips or possibly a running light connection. I want to install a set of LED running lights that I can turn on and off with a switch.

That wire is for heated hand grips

The wires you need for running/ passing lamps is in a wire loom under the gas tank, you will probably need to remove the tank to get at the wiring

This is not a hard job to do

Probably too late but you do not need to remove the fuel tank to hook up auxiliary lights. There is a dedicated circuit on the ECU, L4, titled Front Running Light Power and the wire color is blue with a black stripe. That circuit extends to the left side of the steering neck and it is the the 5th and 6th circuit in the six circuit connector. Connection is as simple as crimping a terminal socket on the connection wire and inserting it into the front half of that connector. Never use the clamp on type power taps because they destroy the wiring harness. All of the information on the MultiLock* 70 series connectors can be found online and the time spent familiarizing yourself with the connector will make your life easier. You can purchase the crimping tool on Amazon for $17.50 and do it like a pro.

*MultiLock; Has two locks, one external and one internal lock. The external lock is the part hanging down.
