    Default 2017 Tri Glide Brake Pedal

    Is it just me because I have long legs or does everyone think you need to lift your leg excessively high to apply the rear brake on Tri Glides?

    I'm going to modify mine by cutting the weld, re-clocking the pedal and re-welding. I see aftermarket rear brake pedals which lower the pad 1 inch and they want over a hundred bucks.

    I don't think 1 inch lower is gonna do it.

    I lift my foot about 6 inches now to apply the pedal.

    The pedal travel to apply the brake is only about 2 inches to lock it up.

    Your thoughts.

    You can do that...I thought the same thing. Did a video on the subject. You might find it useful (even though it is a 2 wheeler) when fabbing yours up.

    See photo below...it is not just how high it is, but the angle than can make it much more comfortable.

    Default Modified Stock Brake Pedal

    Modified my stock brake arm.

    Shortened and re-clocked.

    Just slide my foot up slightly to apply the brake now. Night and day difference.

    It took me a while getting used to picking my foot up and putting it on the brake pedal. It felt awkward. The reason it felt awkward is that I rode a Goldwing before my Harley and the brake pedal was even with the foot peg. I have it under control now. My problem with my Harley now, is remembering to shift into sixth gear after only having a fifth on the Goldwing. LOL
    Texas; 254 counties and I have ridden through them all! Got my pin from my Congress Lady congratulating me on completing my journey.
