fuel gauge and voltmeter not working after battery died

I recently had to take off the riding for a while to deal with throat cancer and during the time my battery died even thought i had it on a Battery Tender so I bought another Battery Tender and hooked it up and recharged the battery and the bike starts find and every thing but the fuel gauge and the voltmeter work fine they do not move at all any one have this problem and any fixes that you know of .

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated as I am now back to where I am ready to try a short ride! The bike is a 2016 Tri Glide.

Do you have your owners manual?

Look at the fuse box, check the P and A fuse, I bet it is bad

Here are your fuses under the LS cover, I hope this helps

From left to right in the fuse block :

Top row #1 is Radio Power 20AMP #2 is System Power 7.5AMP #3 is Battery 5AMP

2nd Row #4 is P&A (parts and Accessories) 20AMP #5 is Cooling Twin Cooled 10AMP #6 is Spare 5AMP

3rd row #7 is P&A Relay #8 is cooling relay (twin cooled) #9 is Spare 7.5 AMP Right below 9 is #10 and it is Spare 20AMP.

The main fuse is 50 AMP.

I checked all fuses and they were all good. Thanks for the help. I checked the alt voltage and it is putting out 14 volts

Every thing was working when I parked it the last of April so it is a mystery

I took the bike for a 50 mile ride gauges never moved until I was almost home then the voltmeter started moving up a little to show around 8 volts,gas gauge never moved. I shut the bike off to open the garage door when I got back on the bike and turned on the switch the voltmeter started working properly and when I got into the garage the gas gauge bounced up to the 3/4 full line and both have worked fine ever since, guess I did not have enough charge on the battery to make them work. Just in case this happens to anyone else.

Just for grins, remove the cables @ the battery, clean the ends and battery posts. Retighten the connections Clean and tight always a big plus

Yep.....Its called Occams Razor...Always check the simplest part first..
