My new to me 14 Tri Glide Ultra

Picked up this 14 with 30000 on it for $20k added a new seat, new Proaction 14” shofrom DK, ne brakes , rotors, windshield, power commander 5… trailer hitch wiring… Then on my first trip my water pump went… so just changed that to the upgrade…

I love the way it rides and well it is just a different animal for me but fun. I still have my 07 Electra Glide..but the more I Trike, the more I like.

Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy getting on my Bagger because of the lean but on the interstate or main highway the trike is the cat’s meow. I did miss my Electra Glide in the mountains as it was a chore to steer the trike in the twisties .

I’m holding on to the 2 wheel I guess for a while , I bought it new in 07 and has 111000 miles on it so it’s mostly sentimental value now , the accessories alone are worth quite a bit. If I sell it it will be for upgrading the trike.

The curves get easier the more you ride. We just had a "gathering in " Maggie Valley. Rode the Dragon,the Rattler & a Skyway (forgot the name). No problems on any. Been on trike now since 2016. I actually like riding the Triglide in the curves fighting the steering. Remind me when I was young first riding a motorcycle you really have to pay attention in the curves. I come out of the curves with a big smile on my face, and gas it and go. I suppose though that is the same smile everybody gets riding their motorcycle.

I suppose you are right. I have not reached that stage in my life yet. Probably will someday. And then I will be in the same boat as you.

I did have Zook install the rake kit while on our trip this summer. It is a "world" of difference. We rode down to his shop in Tx & he had us in & out the same day. I had ridden the 16 57,000 miles, then bought the 20 . Had a bad shoulder & after surgery ,every ride there was some pain. After rake kit. we rode from Tx to Az & back to Ohio & shoulder never has bothered me again. I highly recommend it.

The rake kit might be a Christmas winter project. I see it for around $800
