2022 material surcharge being added.

I was in my dealer this past weekend. My salesman told me that on top of the $1000.00 surcharge that’s on a trike today, there will a additional $600.00 material surcharge for the 2022 trikes. OUCH, $1600.00 in surcharges.

Of course he could have been blowing smoke up my a$$ to get me to buy a 21 now instead of waiting for the 22’s. It Worked ! I ended up buying new 21.

I have had a 2022 Tri on order since October. The only thing that my dealer knew, was the three choices of colors. I picked one and they put it on the list as the first shipment of 2022 Harleys that they would get. They knew nothing else, not even the prices! They were going to keep me updated on ANY information that they received and to this day, I have not gotten any calls. There was speculation that there could be a surcharge, but they did not even know of that.

If there are the charges as you mentioned, that will put a new Tri over $40k!

I will just let it bang around in my head as an increases in the taxes on the Tri. Maybe it won’t financially hurt very long. LOL

Then they BANG You freight, set up, doc fee, With this surcharge your going to be $ 5000.00 over MSRP, then add $5000. to $10000. for upgrades . Everybody should boycott Harley for 1 year see if that makes things change .

I've been boycotting anything H-D since the MY 2013 TG we bought went out of warranty. Everything from aftermarket to indie service; not a H-D part one!

China/Japan/or other is making and selling a “hover bike”! Price? Just under $120k. Would it also be considered a “Ricer”? LOL
