We will be there again this year. Trying to make it a two week trip. With the wife's retirement and my semi-retirement it will be nice not to rush back and forth. Looking forward to meeting up with every one.

    Hi Gale & Lorrie,

I too am looking forward to another D3WR and to see many others, including the "regulars" such as yourselves and Craig & Jonna Henneger (Frozen in MN). Although I won't be hosting a ride this year, I'm looking forward to being just like everyone else, to just enjoy the event and have a lot of fun. Maybe you'll succeed in getting Teresa to list your bike this year vs an honorable mention as "miscellaneous". For someone that has been a "regular", I think you deserve that distinction. Take care my friend!

    Default 8th Annual Deadwood 3-Wheeler Rally (july 10th - 15th)

THROTTLE, TRIXIE and WILLIE are extremely excited to report that the 8th Annual Deadwood 3-Wheeler Rally (D3WR) is shaping up nicely to be its best year ever. To date, as evidenced by the last posting of the registrant's map, 300+ 3-wheeler enthusiasts have pre-registered. Of those, about 45% have attended before, which is probably one of the best testaments any rally can have as to what makes it so successful, what makes is so appealing. I've been tooting my horn since I first attended the rally in 2016, just how great it is, of the many friendships I've made and on and on. But don't take just my word for it. You have got to experience it for yourself. I know that many of you are thinking that there's a lot of time before the rally starts to make your decision to attend. If the rally was anywhere other than historic Deadwood and the beautiful Black Hills area of SD, I'd agree with you. Its location is probably one of the main reasons the rally is so popular and attractive. It's also SD's main tourist area, which means it attracts people, which means lodging hotel/motel vacancies and camping spots become increasingly scarce, as we approach summer. THROTTLE and TRIXIE wanted me to encourage those of you that haven't make your vacation riding and activity plans yet, to sincerely consider the D3WR and pre-register sooner than later, by visiting http://www.d3wr.com. REMEMBER, Teresa will refund your registration fee, no questions asked, if for any reason, you have to cancel your registration, by notifying her by July 1st! So, you are under no risk or obligation, now - July 1st, if you pre-register. Also remember to inform your 2 and 4-wheel riding friends, that they're welcome too. WILLIE wanted me to remind you that the rally is pet friendly, so feel free to bring your pet.

Guess I need to put new rubber on the sling for the trip. Looking forward to the trip. See you all soon.

    Hey Terry,

Looks like you're not the only one that's thinking about new rubber, before going to the D3WR!! Those Federals that came with my '20 Vanderall Carmel only lasted about 6K miles before the thread got down to the wear bars. Very soft and sticky composition/rubber on the Federals. I'm looking at keeping the size of the new tires the same as the OEM Federals, 235/35R19 up front and 275/35R19 on the back. Hope that the front tires are exactly the same as the Federals, even a bit smaller would be ok since getting the mounting straps around them is one pain in the A$$, due to the tight clearances with the fenders, when I load my trike onto my tow dolly. Getting excited to bring her out for her first ride of the season. We had 60 degrees as our today's temperature. which I hope means Spring is just around the corner. Looking forward to our "family" reunion in Deadwood, July 9th. Take care my friend...

Default So, What's In It For Me...?

Here's a revised schedule of activities that's planned for the 8th Annual Deadwood 3 - Wheeler Rally (D3WR) that's going to be held July 10th - 15th, in the historic western town of Deadwood, SD. For those of you that are planning on attending this year, you're in for a great time. For those that are thinking about attending, I'd highly recommend that you pre-register as soon as possible, due to a great degree on where the rally is being held, SD's most popular tourist area. Hotel, motel and camping spots become very scarce during the summer months. Here's a link where you can go to get more information and where you can pre-register on-line http://www.d3wr.com
