I called to check on my trike on Wednesday - apparently, they have not looked at the clutch yet. Was told that because of the rain here, they could not test drive it - but would do so on Thursday. I am certain that getting bike work done this time of the year is difficult.

Wife and I are hopeful - seems we are losing a bit of our short riding season. Trust me, it killed us with all of perfect riding days last week.

Not trying to throw any blame - especially with the dealership. I do however have a few other concerns - but, will wait until we see what's up with the clutch.

Just got off of the phone with the dealership - the clutch is completely burned up.

They will see if they have the needed parts - and get me scheduled to fix this. Now, it looks like sometime next week.

Wanted to ask what caused the problem - then said to myself, I don't work on bikes and this is why I go there for service. My goal is to make sure this does not happen again. So, hopefully when they get it in, they can see if something on the trike kit is causing the problem.

On a good note, I talked with both the installer and CSC - both said this will be taken care of.

un trained techs @ that dealership, the owner's manual clearly spells out the PSI for front and rear tires

OK - dealership has the needed parts to install the new clutch. I wondered if I needed something upgraded since the kit was installed. Service manager said when properly installed, this should hold up to 115 ft pounds. So, glad I have no idea what he means.

I am scheduled for Wednesday, 5/25 - unless someone cancels.

Bike now has 821 miles on it. Installed delivered it to me. Wife and I got dressed - took off to the dealership and immediately noticed it was not disengaging. So, I rode it about 20 or so miles.

I may have asked this before - where in MA? I use to live in Attleboro. Can't see your bike - is that an Arrow kit? Buddy of mine in Attleboro is getting an Arrow for his Indian in July. I plan to meet him in Arlington.

If I recall, he got his Indian from Moms in NH. He called them about doing his trike and they wanted over $4500 to do it.

So, he is actually taking his to Arlington to the CSC factory. When ready, I will leave my home in Michigan and meet them there probably the night before he picks it up. While there, CSC will change the tires on my tiike - they didn't have the ones I ordered - but they are now in stock and he will make the swap

I have been asking this question - not sure I got the answer I was looking for.

So, on the TriGlide Harley site, I asked someone to share the TPMS on their CVO. Guy gave me this picture and I believe this is exactly what I am looking for.

I don't think the CVO TriGlide radio is any different that the regular radio - so, if such is the case, I have to believe that all would work if I added two sensors to my CSC trike.

Am going to head to my dealership and show then this picture - try to get some ideas or at least some questions answered. I also sent this picture to CSC - not sure they are aware. They too may have some idea. Might be as simply as having to but the Harley sensors - think they are about $200 a set ad opposed to about $25 each for regular car sensors. Just might be something different for the Harley ones.

May also stop by my local Discount Tire and get their opinion

I visited the dealer today - and believe I may have gotten the best possible answer.

Fisrt the radio in the CVO TriGlide and my bike are one in the same. Technician explained that a chip in the BCM may be the reason my bike only reads front and back instead of front and two rear tires. He also says that chip would make the rear read 24 or so instead of 40.

    an

He is not sure if Harley will sell that chip and if son, it can be installed in my bike. If it does, that would solve my problem and he can program the bike to read both. They do sell the Harley TriGlide TPMS sensors - about $118 each - not sure f the car sensor would work with the Harley software. He said it may be like the Sena audio vs the Harley audio.

I will keep thinking about this - and also share what I learned with CSC. Perhaps this knowledge will help them determine a way to fix this and they can add TPMS to our wheels

Default Aftermarket TPMS on 2014 HD Trike

I picked up the sykik tpms system and it was working great until on a longer trip the front tire tpms came off somewhere. After getting and putting on a replacement, I noticed that it likely came off on the front because the external sensor rubs against the brake caliper assembly during rotation. Didn't even think to check that

I don't want to mess with an internal sensor (aftermarket) because you would have to take everything off and put back on when replacing the sensor battery. Seems like a lot of effort!

Guess I will just use the back 2 sensors.

I wonder if I could find a shorter valve stem ?

Or maybe there is another aftermarket vendor sensor that is lower profile ?

Kevin - welcome and, thanks for your post. Please tell us/me more about the TPMS system you got. s this integrated with your radio or something completely separate?

Can you please share some pictures.

Can you please share some pictures.
Yeah here's some more info and pics. The one pic I forgot is that there is a monitor that I mounted on my bars and the monitor is what pings the three tire sensors and gives me a display of tire pressure, tire temp, and any warnings I have configured.

As the pics show, there is very little clearance on my '14 Tri-Glide between the valve stem cap and parts of the brake caliper assembly. So you can imagine that when the tire sensor is on the valve stem, it's just bigger enough that it is hitting against that caliper assembly. When I had the sensor on, and manually rotated the tire, I could see it hitting just a bit against the caliper assembly. So I'm guessing that's why both the sensor and its little locking nut both disappeared mid-ride.

Other than this issue, I am pleased with the TPMS system. You can also get internal vs external sensors, but this requires that you take off the wheel and tire and replace the valve stem needle stuff which is a lot more work than just screwing on the external sensors.

I will still research if I can get a slightly shorter valve stem for the front tire- that would likely solve this issue for me.

There are differences of opinions / experiences as regards the screw on tpms valve stem sensors . . . but most manufacturers say to not mount on rubber valve stems. I know the sensors weigh very little but when spinning at highway speed the weight is amplified and can lead to valve stem failure. I researched this previously and looked into metal valve stems but could not find any that were acceptable for the non-CVO TG rims. Again I know some folks have purchased and used metal valve stems but I personally know of several failures - slow air leakage because they did not conform properly to the rim.
