I’m going on a short road trip to camp (leaving at 7:30 and will back by 3 on )with my Son him on his bike and me on the Trike and I like to leave with a full tank So I filled up At the only station in town..$5.19 for Exxons best.
I could have stopped on the way but like I said before’ I’m willing to pay for the convenience….

Gas went up from $3.99 to $4.06 and eggs went down from 22.00 to 19.05 for 5dozen.

I passed at least 50 gas stations on my Ride today and some gas stations are up $.10-$.25 cents a gallon from just Sunday… people are driving more supply and demand…

I recently joined Shell Rewards program that gives $.05 off per gallon. The ran a promotion where your third fillip is $.30 off per gallon.
Most stations in the area are $3.89-$3.99 for regular gas. On my way home from North Carolina tonight, I found a station that was $3.59. When I stopped to fill up, it turned out to be my 4th fill up. Brought it to $3.29 per gallon. Kinda like winning a small lottery.

Bill are you sharing your savings? We are going to take care of Sweetie’s mother in June, we are taking the RV so we will have a place to sleep when we get a break. Not looking forward to this trip, 1600 miles, I should average around 13mph, I am sure the price of Diesel will not be down.

Bluegrass festival season is finally ramping up to pre Covid levels. Most of our trips are between 100 and 200 miles from home with Galax being almost 350. The old Bounder with the 454 gets around 8 1/2 mpg. We squirreled away some tax refund money to supplement the fuel bill. Not gonna slow down too much. Ya never know how many more years I'll still be able to play.
Where are you going in June? Any chance it's close enough to pick together?

Drove by a Shell Station today. Reg. $6.55.9, Mid $6.75.9, and Prem. was $6.95.9. Been that was for a few days. I usually buy my gas at Costco. about a quarter cheaper per gallon.
