Bonne chance
Hello everyone from France!I plan to buy a 2019 Tri Glide very soon.My left arm has been amputated, so I would like to fit a "REKLUSE" type clutch.could you give me your opinion?
Do you think driving with one hand is possible?
I have a 2019 …And had a 2011 and 2017 …I think you would be better served riding/buying a Can Am Spyder with the Automatic and power steering.. The Tri-Glide steering is quite heavy…I did have a 2008 Spyder and that can be driven with one hand..
The only way that you can tell for sure is to test drive both..

WELCOME ABOARD FROM MONTANA, USAHAVE TO AGREE, I THINK A SPYDER IS YOUR BEST BET. I SUFFER FROM SPINAL STENOSIS AND SEVERE CARDIO-PULMONARY PROBLEMS. I'M GETTING READY TO MAKE A SWITCH TO A SPYDER, IN ORDER TO CONTINUE RIDING. YOU MIGHT WANT TO CHECK IN THE CAN-AM SECTION FOR MORE INFO. HOPE THIS HELPS!!
Thank you for your opinions!
it is important that you know the use I intend to make of my Tri Glide, I currently ride a Yamaha Dragstar 125cm3.I have no driving problems... and I only ride (10 miles maximum) rarely exceeding the speed of 50miles/h.Turns are taken at low speed.I'm never pressed for time!I am amputated since 1989 following a motorcycle accident, and have never stopped riding motorcycles, only on small motorcycles... I am aware of the weight of the TG's steering. it is true that the Can-am's power steering is very efficient, but during the test I had the impression of being on the handlebars of my 125cm3... (7 CI?).with my research I managed to find the Rekluse clutch, which solves for me the problem of the left hand.do you know a company that manufactures power steering for HD?
I tend to agree with others that "riding" would be difficult and probably dangerous without having 2 arms. Also note that the CanAm Spyder power steering is a dynamic system that diminishes with speed. And shifting of the DCT is done with the left hand.
A better option may be something like a Mustang or Slingshot..... Jim
