Default How often do you grease up the grease zerks in drive shaft

    I have a 2010 Roadsmith Goldwing............(62,000 miles)

Under the drive shaft are two grease jurks, How often do any of you shoot a shot of grease in those grease fittings??

Leaving on a long trip this coming Friday, May 20th, and "thinking" maybe I should grab my grease gun, and shoot a squirt of grease into the fittings..

PS: I did grease them up a month ago before waking her up out of her winter's hibernation period....

Can a person over due it/and place too much grease up there??

Too much grease would just leak out of the rubber seals on the cup ends, to to much grease could be a mess

OK I just spoke to Roadsmith today {3/14/23} and they said don't grease there, cause it's not a moving part, so I will not shoot any grease there this coming season....

That makes no sense, why does it have grease fittings

I would grease them. Harley no longer puts a fitting on the shifter shaft that runs thru the primary cover, mine does because I put one there and I grease it every oil change
