I just read this today. I also just joined the forum because my CVO Tri Glide is in the process of being built there. I guess that I might not get it.

This is what happens when your "supply chain" is really a leash Emperor XI holds on the other end. Like Bannon says: in the 70's we were a creditor nation.
Now we are a debtor nation. Our grandkids will live in mud huts eating bugs and selling their organs to the Red Chinese to buy real food. Now we cant even manufacture baby milk.
The New York Post tells a different story regarding supply chain difficulties:

Well ain't that special. Hate to be a shareholder now.
I waited well over a year for my Honda Pioneer side-by to come in..But at least i still had my Rhino to beat up while i was waiting...It was a 2021 when i ordered it, Came in as a 2022 at no extra charge....My Old Man always would say if its worth buying its worth waiting for,....
Or something like that......
Sometimes a Cigar is Just a Cigar.....
2019 Tri-Glide.......
2020 TriGlide Tahitian Teal aka (Hawaiian Hussy). Avon frt & Comfortred rear tires. ProAction frt & rear susp. RZ seat. DK floorboard extension & rear axle retainer kit with EBS, HD pull -back bars. Custom Dynamics front turn signals & Vent grill. All ,HD "Edge Cut " accessories.
Glad I bought my TriGlide when I did. I've been waiting on some parts over 9 months and HD says they are still "back ordered". COVID totally screwed lots of things up. But now I think there are so many things in play. Everyone that buys stuff has heard , "we cant get that right now - supply chain issues"
I'm sick of it but also ambivalent as most of it i don't need.
So far s the shutdown , for the workers sake , I hope they get back up and running soon. It will eventually come out what the "regulatory compliance issue with a part " that has caused the shutdown is/was.
I remember not so long ago all the race tuners having to come off the shelf because the EPA fined HD and the race tuner was deemed illegal.
One of the many reasons I am an active member of ABATE and the MRF. If we don't fight for ourselves nobody else is going to fight for us.
First of all Harley needs to treat their employees like there part of the team and pay there salaries. Secondly why aren’t they telling us the customer whats up. We are supposed be part of the family. We are the ones forking out the big bucks for these trikes. Makes me think Harley is ashamed of their performance and there cooking up a scheme to make it smell like roses. I get tired of hearing “ Were so sorry but “. Tell me like a man what compliance issues means and I can live with it. I’m 78 years old and I have seen a lot of things go down and and I am so happy that my 2018 just might miss this one. Thanks to all you trikers that demonstrate the spirit of riding together in friendship.
Ha! Employee relations were in the crapper back in the 70's. AMF had a lousy way of treating people, and it didnt help that they put golden boy execs/ managers that knew how to build bowling balls in charge of building motorcycles. Not much different right? How hard could it be? It took me years to straighten out my Superglide. I truly belive there was outright sabotaging goin on by line workers. As we say in trucking: "Screw me and I'll screw you ten times back".
The 'Compliance Item' is probably a computer chip to regulate fuel economy and emissions.

I reckon 'Big Harley' just can't get it done. Just too frikkin busy building that electric motorcycle. Now for the long extension cord.
