Looking for my dad's old trike

Hello, Thanks for letting me join. I'm looking for one of the trikes my dad built back in the early 80's. I don't have any vin's to track. They both had a small rear bench seat and square rear fenders. At the time we lived in manitou beach, mi. They were both vw trikes. One was brown and red the other was silver and black. The silver and black had a plastic party ball (keg) for a gas tank. My dad has been gone for a long time and I never asked him about them or who he sold them to. I guess I should have. They've probably been parted out or scrapped by now but thought i would take a stab in the dark and maybe somebody here might now. I've checked fb marketplace and CG over time but no luck. Thanks.
