Riding the trike are you a ATGATT or jeans and t-shirt type rider?

As I have gotten older I developed into a ATGATT rider on my 2 wheelers. Since I'm transitioning over to the trike I find myself forgetting the ATGATT and riding with a helmet, jeans, t-shirt gloves and boots. Unless its colder then I'll wear a non armored jacket. I leave the armored jacket and pants at home figuring its much harder to end up on the pavement on the trike. I know things happen but my odds seem a lot better on 3 wheels not to eat the pavement. Is this a foolish way of thinking? What gear do you wear? Thanks for your thoughts.

IMO, it is good to go prepared

Here in Florida I wear a long sleeve cotton shirt, jeans, boots and gloves

I carry my leathers in the trunk just in case

On two wheels I dressed for the crash 💥 ..And I road like a fighter pilot…

Nowadays on 3 Wheels I dress for the weather not so much the crash…

Now that I'm on 3, I dress for the ride, not the slide. Except I always wear my helmet even though they are optional here in Arizona..... Jim

I ride in jeans, boots, gloves and long sleeved shirt. Lot’s of sun this time of year, and I blister easy. I wear a modular helmet, with blue tooth, cause I like tunes.

​Here in west central FL aka Gold Coast, I wear laced hiking boot goretex or Klim Armored boots, just purchased a Daytona MC boot goretex to replace the Klim boots. I have an armored mesh jacket which I wore 95% time prior to going to (3) wheels. Around town I usually wear SPF rated shirts due to the intense sun exposure here in FL. I have BD pants (military cargo pants), Joe Rocket & Cycle Gear Bilt mesh pants, Klim Latitude Jacket when traveling usually go with the with Klim Badlands pants (goretex). Assorted leather MC rated gloves; some have armor some are summer gloves. Always modular helmet or 3/4 one. A Veskimo cooling vest under armored jacket when touring in the summer.

We're a lot more relaxed riding on 3 wheels, jeans, longsleeve T, boots, gloves for me and 1/2 helmets. ATGATT when on 2 wheels including modular helmets and some kind of coat.

I have never worn all the gear unless at the track.

Boot's, jeans, long sleeve shirt, gloves and helmet are all I have ever worn.

Since going to three I some times wear tennis shoes.

Jeans, boots, gloves, long sleeve UV shirt and always a helmet. When I was on 2 wheels I always wore a leather jacket (regular in the winter and perforated in the summer).

It is??? All the dangers you're exposed to on a two wheeler you're also exposed to on a trike, except it tipping over. If you bought a trike cuz you think it's safer, ya might want to rethink that as I've been on a Triglide for over 10 years.

I’ve been riding Trikes since 2008…. And Triglides from 2011 to present… (About 14 years)…Motorcycles from the 60’s till about 2017…..

Safe is a relative term ….There’s other factors besides not tipping over….The general public has a different attitude towards Trikes vs Motorcycles…..They don’t treat trikes like a target..If you have to make a panic stop there’s hardly any drama…IE; Locking a rear tire and maybe high-siding or low-siding..

Can you get hurt on a Trike’ Sure you can also get hurt going down the stairs to the garage before you even get on the Trike…

Welllllllllll neither. I always wear a helmet and an armored mesh or textile jacket. I hardly ever wear my leathers anymore. I have good gloves and boots too.
