Right side suspension is off

2007 1800 goldwing motor trike kit. The right side suspension does not match the left side. There is only finger height from tire to finder on right side and left side I can get my hand under between tire and finder. At 40-45 psi with my wife and I on it. Have had it about 2 months but just noticed last night that it scrubbed a little. Tried taking the pressure all the way down and back up and no change. Any ideas? Thanks

motortrike uses a heim joint connectors on their suspension. one of those bars may have come loose. That suspension is pretty complicated to adjust. i would suggest finding a motortrike dealer to do the work. There is even a possibility that a joint has pulled out and a bar might need to be replaced.

Second 40 to 45 lbss of air is way to much in the rear tires. Most of us run around 25 for a much better ride. That will not hurt the tires because they are car tires and rated for much higher weight on them. I ran 24 lbs in my wife's Stallion which weighs 1700 lbs and the original set of rear tires lasted 80k miles. I replaced them because of age (8 yrs) rather than wore out. The Stallion has the same type of suspension in the rear as your conversion.

Thank you for the info, the 40-45 is not the tires but the air ride suspension. That is with 2 people. Dropped it at the shop just now and they seem to think it is the airbag. But want know till the get in there.

Before looking for mechanical issues, try to determine if your entire trike is leaning or if the body is just installed crooked. Trike kits will never be completely symmetrical. Body parts are trimmed, faired, smoothed by hand. Check each side from a point on the motorcycle part of your trike. A good place is the center of your passenger hand holds. See if they are both the same distance to (level) ground. If they are then you know your trike is standing upright and the body has been installed crooked. This is very common unfortunately. Everything is fixable. Ruling out a crooked body installation is quick and easy. Good luck..... Jim
