LED issue?

I've installed LED turn signals, lower fairing tracer LED's, and LED strips on the lower part of the rear fenders. Now the security system light stays on while riding. Research tells me the LED's are causing the issue so I disconnected the tracer lights and the security light is no longer on while riding. More research tells me I need a "load equalizer" (?). Harley doesn't seem to have what I'm looking for. Does anyone know who might have what I need? Thanks in advance

Customary to run the 4 ways a while so the BCM "sees" the upgrade. I would isolate each new component and run the 4 ways. Then do the next the same and so on. In this way I would see which one might be causing the problem.

That was the instructions in the paperwork when I installed all of my LEDs. It worked for me.

First, scan your ECM for codes, you will probably have some lighting codes

Write them down and clear the codes, follow this link

Next,

  • Turn Ignition on, but do not start the bike.
  • Turn on 4 way hazards by pressing the hazard button on the controls.
  • Turn the Ignition off letting hazards run. ...
  • Let hazards run 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn Ignition back on.
  • Turn Ignition off and then back on.
  • Check function of both turn signals.

Your trike should already be a can bus equipped system and not needing a load equaliser
