I’m rebuilding front forks. I’ve disassemble and cleaned the tubes and replaced all bushings and seals. I * did not * mess with the anti dive valve. All the info I find says for the right fork capacity is 12.7oz/ 7.6” of head space between fluid level and top of the piston-empty and collapsed. I verify with several different measuring devices, re-verified my liquid amount and come up with only ~6.6” of free space head space with 12.6oz of fluid. 2 questions: will the ant dive valve retain some liquid upon a complete shock rebuild and what’s more important, head space or liquid amount? ( I’m running Progressive springs).
- By the way I calculate approx 3/4oz needs to be removed.
