My Valkyrie trike has 150/80-17 radial on the front now. Wanting to go to a Bias Rear tire on the front reversed. BT45 or the MPA sounds like what everyone here is using most. I CAN'T FIND THEM IN MY SIZE. Should I go 140/80-17 or 150/70-17, I can find these. One size better than the other ?? Thanks, Brett

no problem running either one..i've ran a bt-45, very good tire...currently running a K-491 elite 2..which cannot be had anymore they quit making them. i'm about due for a new tire so i'm probably going to try the MPA..but yes to answer your question a 140 will work with no problem..

Have been on a trip since 13 April and just saw this post. If you haven't already bought a tire, I am running a Michelin Macadam 50, Rear Bias, reversed, 150/70-17 on my Valk trike. I have 10K on it and it is down 2/32" from the original 8/32". No cupping. $65 plus $7 shipping from Jake Wilson, last time I checked. Stan

I found the same problem when looking for a tire for my Valk/Roadsmith. The closest fit I found was the MPA, size 150-70-17. I had no problems with it fitting and these MPA tires work great. You will feel the improvement the first time out.

o.k. two problems -- my honda dealer says the M-50 tires have been discontinued in favor of the pilot series, and so far no one knows what the heck MPA tires are -- any help out there ?

How did the BT45 do for mileage? I have 18,000+ on my Macadam 50 with 3/32" usable tread left. Some slight cupping, but should go 30K. I have found some M50s, but they are 4 years old & I am about a year away from needing to replace the existing one. Jake Wilson has the BT45 for the same price as I found the M50. So do I put a 5 yr old tire that I know will give me lots of miles, but be 7 yrs old by the time it would wear out, or do I go with the new one of unknown mileage results? Help me out here! Thanks, Stan

the bt45 done well but iv'e never checked the mileage on my front tires..i normally replace them when it gets so flat across the tread that it makes steering difficult. iv'e only got a 4 1/2 degree to your 6 degree. major difference there..i'm currently running a MPA tire and like it very much. course iv'e had no problems with any new tire on the front..till they flatten out..i'm thinking maybe this winter i'm going to spurge for a 6 degree.
