Are there any eye doctors on here

Just curious if there are any eye doctors on here, I have some questions to ask and maybe he could answer them. has to do with my sunglasses I use for the trike, I don't want to spend any more money on these if I can help it. They have a precript in them for long distance and I don't need that anymore, I can put them on and I can see good, just curious if it would hurt to wear them, my eye doctor lady helper said it might cause a headache if wearing them.

If there is a eye doctor here is what the eye doctor gave me

old +1.75 -1.25

+1.25 -0.75

new 0.00 -0.25 115

0.00 -0.25 05

They said I don't need long distance anymore but they want $300 to change out the lenses and these are transistion lenses which I like but I don't drive at night anymore or at least I hope I don't have to. They said they could change lenses to a polarized lenses for around $165 and basically I like what I have now, just need a doctor to at least say something, mine said change but they want the money I'm sure. If I have to I can go back to my goggles which I hated and that is why I went with these sunglasses from Liberty Sport. Hope some eye can read the specs, I know I can't LOL.

I don't think any eye dr. is going to give you any advice on a forum. Too much chance for liability in today's world. Take your perscription to Walmart, Sams Club, or Costco and get a bid from them on changing out your lenses.

Thanks for the reply, I understand your point of view, have went to walmart and they said they need a note from my eye doctor saying I don't need a precription before they can say anything, on well, I will keep looking I guess, my doctor wants $165 to change out lenses to a poloarized lense but I think that is high, maybe not, I have until spring before I can ride again since it is winter here.

I have the same issue. In '21 had cataract surgery and had artificial lenses installed set for distance. I have a selection of nice prescription frames but realized it was just cheaper to cut my losses and get sunglasses from Pacific Coast and be done with it.

My eye doctor recommended bifocal reader sunglasses so I can see the information on my GPS without distance correction.

Thanks for the tip about sunglasses, I went to their website and I found some I really like.

I had new lens put in a frame I had last time.I wear progressive bifocals and with that and a filter since I sit behind a computer all day and that was $287.

There are a coulpla other companies that offer the same thing. I'm tuff on lenses and the ones from Fuse have given me the best wear. Seem pretty scratch resistant if you get the +.

I'm going in next month for cataract surgery...........on the 6th..............everything I look at now is just blurry, hoping all this blurr will disappear after the 6th, it's drive'n me crazy.................
