Default DK Nexgen w/lift or Legends Revo-A w/lift

Ok, I am ready to upgrade rear shocks on 21 Tri-Glide. Which one is better DK's Nexgen with lift or Legends Revo-A with lift? Both are about the same price. All input is greatly appreciated. Also, are both about the same as far as installing?

    Thanks to everyone's input.

All I can speak to are DKs Nextgen.

Best upgrade I have done and wish I had done it sooner; I am able to ride over railroad tracks in 2nd or 3rd gear that I had to shift down to first and nearly idle to cross before I installed them. Barely can tell that the tracks are there now.

Now with that said I also have the FST Cartridges from DK in the front.

Installation for the rear shocks and lift was accomplished in about 1.5 hours by myself and my son-in-law and we didn't get in a big hurry.

The Front was done by my dealer.

    Ride Safe

I've not had the Legend Revo A but did run Legend air shocks on two wheelers for many years. On my TGs I first ran DK's Pro-Action shocks and now have their NexGen on my 2020 TG. Both are great shocks and a HUGE improvement over either the stock air suspension and even the newer adjustable hydraulic oem shocks. The new NexGen shocks are noticeably better than even the Pro-Action. Installation should be the same for either brand shocks. Personally I lean toward the DK NexGen. I know the crew at DK and how extensively they worked / tested / improved / tweaked the shocks to get them just right . . . and it took several years. It was not quick and easy by any means. They did a great job imo.

With stock suspensions, my 2021 Freewheeler rode as smooth as a pogo-stick.

After installing DK Custom Combo Package - NEXGEN™ 14" Trike Series Shocks™ & Convertible Comfort Lift, my 2021 Freewheeler rode as a rough as a Cadillac.

I have no experience with Legends.

I got to ride Kevin's trike with 2 different prototypes and then the production shock. If I did not already have ProAction shocks purchased two years prior I would hands down buy DK shocks. Smooth as silk.

If, I was ever thinking of changing my OEM 2020 TG shocks, I would definately go with DK Nexgen shocks. The reason being, of there many hours of testing. (100's)

and they are Honest people. All of their products are top quality. And believe me I have wrestling with the idea, and it's a tough match. "Somebody help me!"

I can help you. The best you know is the best you've had . . . and the best you've had is the oem hydraulic adjustable shocks that came on your 2020 TG. I tried to convince myself when I got my 2020 TG that the newest, latest, greatly improved, adjustable hydraulic shocks that came on it would be light years better than the older crappy air shocks that came before. And I rode it for several months tweaking the adjustments all the time. But as Kevin said in his review you might get it to be somewhat ok on a fairly smooth road surface but it would be horrible on a rougher one. And vice versa. I finally bit the bullet after riding Kevin's TG with his new NexGen shocks. I put them on mine and never looked back. Huge improvement over stock.

    Default Revo

I had the the Revo-A rear shocks and lift both on my 2017 and 2021 Tri-Glide. 36,000 miles total on them last 4 years. Both my wife and I love them.

Personally, you cannot beat DK's customer service. I do not own their shocks yet, (saving up my allowance!) but do own a bunch of other accessories and upgrades purchased from them. Never had a problem and I am sure you will not find anyone here that has not had superior customer support from them.

I have the 14" NexGen with comfort lift installed on my Tri Glide along with the FST cartridge system in the forks. I did the install right before a 600 mile road trip last Memorial Day. I had been running the stock suspension for about 2 years and about 15K miles or so. This UPGRADE made me enjoy riding my trike so much more than I already did. 2up, fully loaded and it rides like a Cadillac and that's what it felt like for the entire trip. I have mine setup for 2up all the time because I ride 2up about as much as I ride solo and it rides just fine solo, maybe a little "tighter". It's like butter loaded up going down the highway/interstate. The Kentucky roads and Pennyrile Pkwy did not jar my teeth out and my wife fell asleep as it just smoothly rolled over the dips and rises. By far the best upgrade I've made out of everything else I've done to it. Absolutely worth the money.

Thanks everyone for the input. I am going to call DK and order the 14" NexGen with lift. I will have to save up to do the front later.

    Thanks again and ride safe
