Really, Really Terrible Storms...Really Feel for All of the People affected by this.....
..if it has WHEELS, I'm in...ThumbUp
Storms also came through Georgia. Nasty stuff.
There was a rider down in Maggie Valley yesterday. I loaded my trailer and rode up there to get the bikes (Married couple riding separately).
The first round of storms passed so I got up there as fast as possible, loaded the bikes and burned up 74 and 129 to get home. Took 515/575 south. Not more than 20 minutes later before a tornado cut across the hwy.
Got home and didn't even lose a leaf off a yard tree all night.
God works in mysterious ways.
Ringgold GA was hit hard. I've spend a lot of time there when I was younger. Friends I've called this morning are in shock.
My thoughts and prayers to all those families suffering and in need.

Hope the friends whose bikes you trailered are ok! Looking forward to seeing you soon, Dave!

Yahoo News now has the death toll up to 209. Prayers are on the way to all those effected and suffering!!!!!
To hijack this thread for a moment, Thanks for asking Nana. She only had 3 months riding with a license. A switch back got the better of her and the Sporty. Head on into a guardrail at 15mph according to the Patrolman. She came down on the guardrail and dislocated her shoulder. Her inexpensive helmet put a jagged gash in her forehead (24 stitches) but that was better than her head hitting the rail. Good quality equipment is worth it's weight, don't purchase cheap stuff.
They are renting a car back to south Florida. A friend of mine and theirs is making the 12 hr one way trip down there and back to drop off the bikes for them using my truck and trailer. Friends for Friends....
Thanks again for asking, now back to this thread.
Friends for Friends...good on ya Dave.

Friends are sometimes more like family than family. Doing what you can for others is often the very best way to show the world the honesty of your character. Your mutual friend, Wiz, is a marvelous example of this, in a time when too many are just out for themselves.
In times of trouble, like in the devastated areas in the South, we need to help each other a little bit more every single day. It can only help . . .
Yahoo News now says 248 lives lost; our prayers for the survivors . . . Central Texas Red Cross unit on its way to help . . .
Prayers, money and workers being sent from SC Baptist Association. The carpenter guys are our church are gearing up, and the medical people are already on the ground.
Looking at the pictures it looks worst than a war zone. very sad

Just a brief note to let all of you know that the tornado in Georgia, near Atlanta, missed my sister's house by about a mile. A couple of plants were blown over but nothing else. Many prayers to ALL who were affected!
A mile is a great thing at a time like this!
