Screw the switch out, do not apply the brakes with the switch out
Replace the switch, if brakes are spongy bleed the rear brakes
In this diagram # 22 is the rear switch

I had to do this and it's a bitch to do. but can be done. I removed the footboard and took the brake pedal loose and pin out. You can pull it out of the way just enough to remove the switch. Use needle nose to get the wires off. It is tight but can be done.
The service manual wants you to remove the exhaust system to do this.

it was tight and my fat fingers did not help. i removed the 2 bolts from the master and the clip on the down tube. gave me some extra room
