    Default Trike bars and warranty

I purchased a 2022 Tri-Glide a few weeks ago and quickly discovered the bars are way too low and the reach is too far for me to be comfortable. I have seen replacement bars I like and viewed some videos about them as well as how people feel. I am hopeful I can get some additional insight here about the best way to go.

First and most important is the manufacturers warranty and extended warranty for the bike. I have been unable to get a response from the dealer whether or not the warranty will be adversely affected if I install new bars myself. Does anyone here have experience with that?

I am 5' 9" tall and my arm length from my shoulder to my wrist is 22". Does anybody know the height of the stock bars? I am interested in the Khrome Werks 2+2 wide (or normal but the grip angle seems to be uncomfortable for many) and the KST 6 bend. I may look at others but these seem to be very popular. I am also trying to decide if the 10" or 12" bars would be best. I would like to keep the grips behind the fairing if possible. I understand 12" may require additional work related to cables, lines, and wiring but I would like to get it right the first time. Thanks

I have the Khrome Werks two plus two narrow on my 19 Tri Glide. It's the best improvement I have made to date. And I have a lot of 'improvvements" on that bike.

+1 Khrome Werks two plus two narrow is probably where you want to go. Better hand position and the grips are behind the fairing. Plus, you will not have to extend the cables or brake/clutch lines. They are 12" high. Might as well change out the grips to what you want, as you are doing it.

I have the Khrome Werks 2+2 Wide Sweepers on my 2017 Trike adjusted as high as they can go and my hands are still below the fairing. I also have the Hawg Halters 9* raked Trees so that drops them just a tad. All of my wiring is run inside of the bars. I extended the wiring and brake and clutch hoses at the same time. The only wiring that didn't need extension was the throttle wiring.

I’m your size and agree 100% that the stock bars are not a good fit. I had my dealer install the Kromewerks 2+2 wide sweepers before I even took it home. Combined with a 1” lift kit, it made for a much more comfortable and easier to steer riding experience.

I may have needed a clutch cable extension, I’m not certain. The install was neat and clean. No warranty issues at all, though as I mentioned, my dealer did the install.

Can’t help you on the warranty question but the 2+2 are very comfortable bars.
