I purchased a 2022 Tri-Glide a few weeks ago and quickly discovered the bars are way too low and the reach is too far for me to be comfortable. I have seen replacement bars I like and viewed some videos about them as well as how people feel. I am hopeful I can get some additional insight here about the best way to go.
First and most important is the manufacturers warranty and extended warranty for the bike. I have been unable to get a response from the dealer whether or not the warranty will be adversely affected if I install new bars myself. Does anyone here have experience with that?
I am 5' 9" tall and my arm length from my shoulder to my wrist is 22". Does anybody know the height of the stock bars? I am interested in the Khrome Werks 2+2 wide (or normal but the grip angle seems to be uncomfortable for many) and the KST 6 bend. I may look at others but these seem to be very popular. I am also trying to decide if the 10" or 12" bars would be best. I would like to keep the grips behind the fairing if possible. I understand 12" may require additional work related to cables, lines, and wiring but I would like to get it right the first time. Thanks
