Default More Comfortable rear seat/trunk 2007 suzuki C90 Boulevard Jackal conversion

    Hello board,

I've been looking to upgrade the rear stock seat and trunk on the Lehman Jackal version of a 2007 Suzuki Boulevard C90. The search has driven me almost crazy as I just can't find a good solution on the internet.

Has anyone made the changes, or knows of someone who did? If so, what are your recommendations?

Lady Thunderbird is hesitating to go on longer rides as the stock rear seat is so narrow and uncomfortable after time. And the stock trunk keeps her pretty upright and pushed forward.

She rides her own Intruder 1400 (we each do), so I fully understand the frustration and would like to make her riding more a comfortable one, since she is willing to ride passenger (something she normally never does).

Any help, links or pics would be great.

Here is our current stock setup with the stock trunk and cargo rack removed:

Nothing from the board here, Bummer

But I just ordered something like this from Amazon, just going to experiment. Next I am looking into seat customizers, but that is more tricky.

I have looked at those too. I was also looking at the backrest for a HD freewheeler. Thoughts?

    Harley 9907,

I've had similar ideas after last years' Sturgis rally. I collected some parts from a swapmeet, and ordered others from the internet and tried to see what fits.

The one thing I was able to install was this makeshift backrest. It was tiny and seemed inadequate, even though she never complained. And the smaller backrests I would have been able just seemed out of place, and so little/small, almost toy-like. Just didn't like it.

Now, the tour-pack I had ordered has arrived and I was able to install right away.

It looks good, feels OK. She thinks if fits her well and is comfortable. Initially I had mounted it to the luggage rack, then installed it directly to the trike surface itself through the rack mounting holes.

A little flimsy (but not too flimsy). I may just get some BONDO and fiberglass cloth and line the inside to stiffen/reinforce. Once that is cured it will be bombastic. I may post some on the progress.

Now that I have a suggestion for the seat modification from Jack, I'll have to post on that as well.

I like the pack, for less than $300 you won't hear me complain.

BTW, sorry for the delayed posts, 'was busy and didn't look at the board.

Thanks all for your help. Harley, keep the questions coming.
