Where Do You Stash Your Full Face Helmet When Not On Your Noggin?

Just trying to get some thoughts regarding storing a full face helmet on a TriGlide while NOT taking up space in the trunk.

I used to be able to stash it in my tour pak on my 99’ Ultra, but the seemingly redesigned tour pak on my 21’ Tri Glide isn’t as tall (deep) to handle it. So… it’s been taking up half the trunk, which is prime real estate.

I generally ride helmetless, but when the weather takes a turn or it gets colder than you know what, on it goes so I like to have it handy.

Whatcha all do for stashing that thing? Anybody make a taller tour pak lid?

Helmet bag and bungee net on the tour pak rack. I can fit 2 full face helmets on my luggage rack on my 16.

Same here....I also have a cheap cable lock that I use for a deterrent.

We also have been able to secure 2 modular helmets to the Tour Pak rack with bungies while riding, and then use a cable lock and set them on the seats while away....IF the trunk is full. If it is not, we can put both of them in the trunk.

Not on a Tri Glide but in 50 years of riding, I have always just left my helmet sitting on the seat of whatever I was riding. It has always been there when I got back. YMMV..

Same here, I know there are some expensive helmets out there. But you would only know that if you were a rider. They wanna steal a helmet I been sweating and adding my stink to for the last 2years let em go. I never ride without one so I don't have to store it. If I had to store it I think I'd go modular. It may give the room you need.

Same here….I figured if anyone heeded a Hemet with Nam stickers on it (Boots on the Ground) they could have it (And lately gray hairs in it)..But that said i very rarely wear a Full face….And the location where I park Madders also : If at a Wallmart I will always put any helmet im wearing at the time in the top box. But I never lock the top i would cost more to replace the easy broken locks then to replace the helmet,,

Mine has two stickers: 1) “Death before Dishonor” and “F—k Jane Fonda”. I don’t count the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor sticker or the RVN campaign ribbon sticker. Like some of you folks; I leave it on the seat.

Hey Everyone! To those who have replied, thank you!

I'm looking more for stashing WHILE riding... I've got the simple cable lock as a walk away theft deterrent... I'll investigate the helmet bags/bungee set up for on top of the rack on the tour pak, but I've already (when on a trip) got a luggage bag and then my rain cover bungeed on the bag already.

I know, I know, I tend to pack too much $51t... it comes from following the old adage (rather have it and not need it, then... you know the rest!).

I just wish the engineers up in Milwaukee would re-think the design of the tour pak to actually accommodate a full face helmet! At least us trikers have a trunk, but on a newer bagger or similar, stashing a full face helmet must be a real PITA...

I think your options are limited there. My top case on my 2018 will take my full face RPHA 90. If for some reason I'm not wearing my helmet I will strap it to the lid of the top case with some padding beneath it.

I guess you'll be spending a few minutes in the garage testing different ideas, but i think it's a sure thing that you can't strap it up front or even anywhere on the side. Let us know what you come up with.

What kind of silly ass question is this? I stash my helmet where its supposed to be - on my head. I walk around with it on. I'll just be wearing it again anyways and I know where it is.And if I get in a fight its harder to knock me out. Little kids point and say: "mommy whats wrong with that mans head?" "Shhh... honey its not nice to make fun of retarded people ". I get no respect.

I just put it on my seat with a rubber teranchila under it . Wearing someone else’s helmet is like wearing someone else’s underware .
