Need lighting advice please.

Hey riders, I need some advice. I live in a rural area and it's very dark at night. Last night I almost wiped out into a drainage ditch because I couldn't see. I had a factory light bulb in my headlamp and switched it out for one of those $15.00 LED bulbs a couple years ago. That helped a lot but I'm still having problems seeing. So should I buy a regular 7 inch LED headlamp, the brightest I can find or add a passing light bar? Which would be brighter? Here's a picture of my front end, do you think I have the room for a light bar? Thanks.

Probably get varied opinions but I would add a lightbar. The two added lights will give you a wider lighted area to be able to see the sides of the road better.

Ah ha, I didn't think about a light bar giving a wider light. Thanks Ol school. I was thinking on getting a brighter lamp in order to save money but you can't put a price on safety. Those are not hard to install and it gives me a new project. Cool! Nice trike BTW

The light bar that fits the roadking will work. I found a police electraglide light bar complete with buckets and signal lamps( didn't use) on Fleabay.I added led lamps to the buckets. Write ups on how to wire them up can be found elsewhere on this site. The first thing I did when I got my Freewheeler home was order the JW Speaker dual burn led headlamp but cheaper ones can be found online. There is some adjustment in the Auxiliary Lamp( HD term) buckets so I have the right bucket slightly aiming at the right shoulder as it's very rural coming down the mountain from my hilltop fire support/ interdiction base to the 4 lane.

When I bought it I was living in a larger, well lit city and it didn't make a difference where it was aimed. A soon as I moved out to the country, it's been pitch black. Even the trees on my road home hang from side to side and block the light from the stars. Makes it great during day but when you are getting the brights flashed at you and you don't have your brights on, then you know it's too high. So since I don't drive that often at night, I just pointed my head light down a little and that did the trick. Maybe I'll get it adjusted next bike night. Thanks
