The two that I know are Kliktronic and Pingel. Kliktronic is the original, made in England and the Pingel is a U.S. made product.

I use the Kliktronic on my Harley Sportster trike and it works beautifully. Excellent customer service.

I've read that others have the Pingel and like it too.

From what I have researched and read, Pingle "borrowed" the idea and design from Kliktronic.

Actually i think it was the other way around. i have had the pingle for 6 years and the reason for my choice originally was availability. At that time you still had to use the clutch to shift as well as i dont believe it would down shift.
My understanding is they have been making air/electric shifters since the 80's. they also have developed auto shifters as well as gear indictator lights (which i need) ...lol.
So needles to say my vote is for PINGLE
i also have over 50 k on mine

These kits are designed for full or partial throttle “on” clutchless up shifting with a single push of the button. Down shifting is also achieved by a push of the downshift button. Clutch use is required for starting and stopping only. Suited for Sport Bikes, Drag Bikes, Customs, Cruisers, and Touring Bikes, these kits are also the perfect match for male and female riders who own bikes that require a lot of hand strength to pull in the clutch lever, typically found on H-D models. OEM shifting ability is retained even after installation.

Pingel Easy Shift kits include a dual button handlebar control, a shift cylinder plated with a lustrous chrome finish, bolt-on shift cylinder support bracket and the state of the art control module which sends a quick and reliable signal from the button control to the shift cylinder without any delay. Also included is the ignition kill module which momentarily interrupts the ignition coils, and step-by-step instructions with photos for easy installation

I have the Kliktronic shifter on a 2009 Fatboy with a Motor Trike kit and about 20,000 miles.I have not had any problems, other than finding netural and that is just me not having a light touch for the quickness of the shifter. Been on twisties many times, up shifting and down shifting and abused the thing and it just kept on shifting.

Kliktronic was the original. One of the Kliktronic co-founders developed and engineered the electronic shifter to enable his son to continue riding after he, the son, had an accident.

I know the kliktronic works well after 23,000 plus km's on my trike.

I have spent some time on other internet forums and read some user discussions that spoke poorly of their experience with their Pingel. Keep in mind though, sometimes the only people that post comments are the ones that have had problems...there are many Pingel users that are completely satisfied.

This has not been my experience though as I have a Kliktronic unit. I'll try to post a pic here to illustrate where it's mounted.

    Cheers. David in Canada.

I look at both of them, Kliktronic did not made shifter for my K1200Lt which I having convert to a trike by using Hannigan trike kit with floorboard install, for Pingle shifter it have universal kit they said I can put it on my K1200LT by made my own bracket, I don't know any other brand, I did not have a choice I have to go with Pingle shifter. My left leg not be able to move much.

Had a Pingle that failed on me twice in less then 8 months from new. It now sits in a plastic bag. A waste of $1000.00.

One the plus side, it forced me to build myself a right foot shifter system that doesnt rely on electronics. 30k miles and not one issue

Have been abusing a Kliktronic unit for over 5 years, or 24k miles, with no issues. I would buy it again.

Always wanted to put one of these electronic shifters on my Valkyrie, but it seems that none of the offerings have any mounting hardware for the Valk. Ah well,, maybe some day.

Rich, I had to combine some OTS parts to get it mounted. Most users fabricate their mounting system. Some mount to frame, some on engine assembly. If you don't feel comfortable doing that, take it to a shop that will fab something nice. Where there's a wallet, there's a way!

    Lol,, "Where there's a wallet, there's a way".

And that's exactly the route I'd have to go. I already looked to see if I could,, 'jury-rig' some kind of mounting brackets. But to do it right, I'd need to be able to machine some parts and I don't have access to a lathe.

I have the pingle.....failed twice now...once taking out half the power on the bike, had to get towed in. Second time while I was on vacation in Gatlinburg TN. The shifting switch went bad. Hard to shift with no left leg. Went to Harley there and the Hillbilly working on it made me one up out of an old cruise control switch and a cruzer caddie. Give a Hillbilly a little time, duct tape, and beer and you can get anything fixed. LOL LOL I'm going for a hand shifter or a right foot shifter that I saw on here.

It you have a bike with a power commander on it, you can use their electronic shifter.. I've used them in the past.. With theirs you can also do manual clutchless shifts; as theirs "plugs in" through the power commander, as it, or you shifts.. it cuts throttle and spark (if you have the option on your pcm) so allow for smooth easy shifts every time..

i bought mine for my valkyrie they sent a piece of chrome and i used that and i think i also had to make a little triangle piece , but anyway i have had that very same one for 7 years and over 100k . i took it off the valk and put it on the rune and now have it on the harley.
Pingle has my vote hands down. i did have to replace the shifter buttons on th bars last year but thats it.
