Lets be more colorful

Can someone help me figure this out and I've seen it on a number of forums. Someone will post about a 2023 Goldwing and that the colors are lousy and not much choice. Well, I agree offering two colors is not much choice and a repaint is expensive to the buyer. Were not talking about a Model T Ford but a $25,000+ motorcycle. If you look back many years ago you were offered many choices of colors and some really nice ones. Now a days they offer dull uninteresting colors and one that stands out in the crowd. I look at it this way if a manufacturer wants to raise prices, why not provide nicer colors. Even cars/trucks are painted in dull colors. My neighbor has a 1997 Chevy S-10 and it emerald green (a bit weathered with the clear coat peeling) but the green is still a nice color. With all the vehicles in the parking lot at the complex only 3 stand out and that is the green one, the blue one and the 1980s Ford F-250 in white and green. Take a trip down memory lane and look at the vehicles from the late 20th century and their colors, then look at the new ones and their dullness.

As in cages , most are pastels, metallics are offered but cost is the issue . Black , silver or white are free . Grays are the new black . Interiors are either black or a custom black .. The bike industry is no different . Choice of black or black saddle.

Makes perfect sense to me. Why There are so few colors ? This way every couple of years they come out with a new color give it a fancy name for the color and people will buy the bike just for the bragging rights about the color..! i I have/had three Triglides and my signature I just mention the year, but you see other people will add flaming, red lipstick, bright orange sky or rock ‘n’ roll blue. It’s like they bought the bike to brag about the colors. ?.. that’s called marketing…😁………

I think the paint choices fall on the manufacturers of paint, they know their product and price it to sell, the buyers for the motorcycle industry needs to listen to the bike communities on what colors they like to see on future models

I blame the designers too, why would you paint a new bike to look like an old Goldwing. I looked through 21 pages of used Tri-Glides and I actually found 2 that had a notice me factor. The third one is attention getting.
