Road Glide 3 - Parts and Accessories?

Hi Guys. I am wondering if anyone has installed an after market trunk guard? The H-D one only comes in chrome and I need black. Yup, I know I could paint it but not at that price point. LOL.

Also, has anyone found a good heated seat option? The Corbin seat left a weird gap (or looked like it) and my Mustang seat is very comfortable, but there was no heated option?

And finally, has anyone found LED switchback turn signal lights that do not cause hyper flash? And yup, tried the emergency light thing.

AS far as LED bulbs, I use Sylvania 3157R bulbs for the rear lights, they will not hyper flash after you clear codes( they will set a code in the BCM) and run the flashers for a minute

Check out Eagle Lights. HD bumper mounts thru trunk frame bolts(4). Make sure aftermarket does the same. Load bearing on anything but the frame is worthless. Go down to WrongMart and buy those chemical hand warmers and stick them in your back pockets to warm your bottom or anywhere else that's cold.I just saved you $700.00 bucks. You are very welcome.

I thought for sure I'd seen both the HD and the Cobra rear bumpers for sale with a black finish, but I haven't found anything but chrome currently offered. Even looking back on some of the older TrikeTalk conversations it seems that most of the black rear bumpers shown had been originally chrome then powder coated black. With the trend towards blacked out bikes currently in fashion one would think HD, at least, would offer a black rear bumper for their trikes.

The closest thing I could offer for a heated seat is a sheepskin cover. They keep you cool in Summer and warm in the winter. Alaska leather

I'm holding off on the trunk guard/bumper. At the price points and then having to pay for power coating, I'm like nope. Plus honestly, not sure how it'll look against my blue paint.

Anywho, went with the probeam turn signal lights and the vent lights from Custom Dynamics and installed them yesterday and very happy. Took a recommendation from Donnie Wieburg and no issues with hyperflashing.

And finally, I'm going to stick with the Mustang seat for a while. although not heated, I've just been consciously doubling up and wearing long underwear when we're riding in the cold right now and it's been fine and most importantly it feels comfortable, especially on my back.

I believe that a black bumper would be the only way to go. Yes, a little pricey with powder coat, but just compare that with body repair and paint on the trunk. Your trike is beautiful!

Thanks for that info. I just bought me a 2024 RG3 2 weeks ago and an already planning on adding a few things . That bumper would really look cool on my trike. And later adding a luggage rack and maybe even a backrest.

So far HD only has the chrome one . Several people have taken them to powder coat them black . I guess sooner or later HD will catch up especially since they are selling RG 3 blacked out.
