Last year during a cross country trip, pulling a mini-mate camper, my 2020 tri-glide developed an oil transfer to the primary. It's not the typical transmission to primary transfer, my engine oil goes down as the primary oil goes up. does anyone have ideas as to what might be causing this? FYI, the 2020 came new with the rubber pressure relief installed on the primary side.

Garry........Welcome to Trike-Talk....

Thats a new one......My X 2017 The transfer....Was trans to the primary....The trans dip stick after every 8 hundred miles or so would read dry....Is the trike still in warranty?...

When Harley installed my vent on my 17 they also replaced the crank seal. after 10,000 miles I haven't noticed any transferring of either transmission oil or engine oil.

factory assembly work at OC White. It's something to keep my busy when I can't ride (~;

Done working after this month, plan to ride cross country, again, pulling a mini mate pop up camper and a fly rod.

Im on the other side of the river, How do you like are new Bridge ?

You have no problem doing the seal ? I could give you a hand ? you need outer primary gasket, 2 inner seals on the inner primary cover, crankshaft seal & oil ?

I don't have the tools to do the seal myself. I did open the primary side, only to find Harley had added the rubber vent already, but that only covers the trany to primary leak. I closed it up yesterday, with new gasket so I can get it to a mechanic. Everyone I've called so far is booked out to end of April or longer.

Do you have tools for replacing the crankshaft seal?

Yes I can do it Butt, I have surgery on the 25th. If that works out I could do it around the first of April ? Stop by my shop one day this week after work ?
