Welp…. As I was assembling the parts coming back from paint, and as soon as I reinstalled the fuel line to the gas tank, gas was immediately running out of the check valve assembly due to a compromised O-Ring.
upon inspection, there was a flat spot and small defect area on the infamous O-ring in the middle of the check valve. I installed an O-ring (which you can use one for your oil plugs), but it was not as thick… and although it stopped the leak, I was wondering if it will start leaking in a short time…plus I thought about the condition of the upper one at the check valve itself too. So the decision was made to just replace the unit as it is cheaper than buying the “tool” to service that upper O-ring.
I already had the fuel filter and since I was going to have the assembly out of the tank anyways… it was just inevitable to change it all and knowing it’s all replaced will give me many miles without issue and piece of mind knowing these were replaced with all new parts.
So I decided to do a video on this too…. and added it to my KustomFX YouTube channel along with the others.
Here’s the YouTube video link:

I hope the video helps anyone and also shows how easy to do this and not have to take it to a dealer for something you can certainly do yourself.
Thanks,
Brett
