Average age ??

Catching some slack from the wife, she thinks we are to young to go from 2 to three. 45 and 43 but we are grandparents, no health problems just looking for more comfort!!

You will see that, although the majority of us are over 50, it is certain that there are a number of members under 50 also. Believe me, as you are out on the roads and see more and more trikes out there you also will see that it isn't all about age. It is all about having the most comfort, the most stability, and the biggest grin on your face <img src="images/smilies/grin.gif" border="0" alt="" title="big grin" class="inlineimg" />.

Age is just a number. "Too young" makes about as much sense as "Too old"--that is, none. After all the nuts and bolts have been considered (health/ability--can you ride it?, financial concerns--can you afford it?), IMHO, the determining factors should be health, purpose, and personal preference: Do you feel too young? Will a trike fill your needs? And maybe most important--what do you WANT? All other things being equal--ability, finances, etc.--you should do what will make you the most comfortable and happy.

OK, so that's my two cents. Worth every penny.

It took me a few weeks after I started riding a trike to figure out why I was having so much more fun riding the same roads I did when I was up on two wheels. Then it hit me. When you don't have to deal with the "fall-over" factor, your head has more room to appreciate the ride. <img src="images/smilies/grin.gif" border="0" alt="" title="big grin" class="inlineimg" />

Like everybody is saying age doesn't matter and like Yogisan said When you don't have to deal with the "fall-over" factor, your head has more room to appreciate the ride!!!

I'm 58, and before buying the First Gold Wing Trike (We now own it and a 750 Aero Trike), I was still draggin' Footpegs on Sport Bikes in Twisties, and ridin' Cruisers well past Their Handling Capabilities.......I enjoy my Trike more than any Motorcycle or Scooter I have ever owned.....It's a "Mindset", not an "Age Catagory".....Look around, VERY RARE to ever see Someone convert to Triking that goes back to 2 Wheels, or especially "ONLY" 2 Wheels again. I still own a Scooter, might even own another Motorcycle, but I'll still always have a Trike from this point on......JUMP ON IN.....

I am almost 60 and have been riding since I was 14. Took off time for wife, family, job almost 30 years. Missed Biking and dreamed of a Valk. Found a 99 and have had her triked due to me being 2 inches too short. Hard to hold up phat lady when your short and real hard to pick up if the OOOOPS moment strikes. Triking made since and SHE'S SO PURTY!!!<br />

I'll be 64 on June 30. I have been riding since I was 16 years old and have been on a trike for 14 years and loving it. I guess I am a true triker.:Pepper::woohoo:
